Thanksgiving emoticons

Thanksgiving Day is a special holiday that is mainly celebrated in Canada and the United States of America. The traditions of this holiday are longstanding and rooted in the Native Indian and European customs of holding celebrations and festivals before and after a harvest season, in order to give thanks for peace, prosperity and a good harvest.

Due to historical and seasonal reasons, Thanksgiving is celebrated on different dates in the US and Canada. In Canada it is observed on the second Monday of October, while in the USA it is held on the 4th (and not the final, as sometimes there are 5 Thursdays in November) Thursday of November.

On this day, friends and family usually gather to share a meal together, which usually consists of turkey as the main dish, accompanied by pumpkin pies and mashed potatoes. This special meal serves as a reminder of a group of pilgrims who came from England to settle in the US. Parades, festivals and football games often also take place during the period. The day is usually followed by Black Friday, which is one of the busiest shopping days of the year. It's not always easy for everyone to gather together, but you can always use these smileys to send all your friends and family your best holiday wishes. You may not be able to share a feast with them, but you can still send them an emoticon to let them know you're thinking about them.

You can send these on Facebook or add them to your messengers like MSN, Windows Live, Skype or even Yahoo. We hope you enjoy these crazy animations!
