How can I stop strangers from sending me IMs?

In order to stop receiving Instant Messages from strangers, you need to adjust your MySpace IM privacy settings accordingly.

First, Open the preferences window by clicking the File menu in the main MySpace IM window and selecting Preferences, then click on the Privacy tab on the left of the Preferences window. In the Who can contact me section of the Privacy settings, make sure the Only people on my Contact List option is selected.

This way, only people you have added to your Contact List as friends will be able to send you messages. This is a good way to stop unknown and spam messages when using MySpaceIM.
